@KingsFanFTW, I think we’re going to trade DD. I’ve been saying this for some time, but I think there is going to be a HUGE disconnect between DD and DL on price. DL has proven to be ice cold when it comes to over paying and DD is going to want 6.5M plus. I don’t think we should pay a dime over 4.5M.

so, on one hand, I’d like to say, kudos to you Garrett, for somehow decoding this impressive display of grammar. On the other, you don’t think Drew Doughty is worth more than $4.5 million? Have you ever seen another NHL contract?
- Eric Brewer just signed a four year deal worth $3.85 million. Have you heard of him before? I didn’t think so.
- Our own Jack Johnson is signed at $4.357 million to continue playing blindfolded in the defensive zone for another seven years.
- Andrei Markov just inked a deal worth $5.75 million to snap his tibia in November.
Trade Drew Doughty? He contends it could return Parise. But solving one problem by causing another one is no way to build an NHL franchise, or even a Lincoln Log house.
Zach Parise, while perhaps the best, is not the only answer to the left-wing question. Certainly, there are many viable ones that will not come with the price tag of second youngest Norris Trophy nominee in NHL history. Wha? The Norris Trophy? The award for- you know what, never mind.
